Vranec World Day, a celebration of one of the Balkans’ most cherished and iconic grape varieties, celebrated its 6^th year in 2024.  This year’s event brought together Vranec producers from across the country in a Vranec Wine Salon, spotlighting their remarkable wines and showcasing their depth, character, and potential for global recognition. The star of the evening was an exclusive performance by our very own Vranec Ambassador, Kazuhiro Kotetsu, accompanied by the Bitola Chamber Orchestra. The events were held at the elegant Macedonian Opera and Ballet for an unforgettable evening of fine wine, culture, and connection.

Preceding the concert and wine salon was a press trip around the Macedonian wineries consisting of renowned wine connoisseurs and passionate enthusiasts from around the globe. Just in time for the 2024 vintage, the invited wine journalists, judges and educators got to taste all the best of what the Macedonian wineries had to offer, including Vranec wines. The result was a successful press trip that garnered positive impressions, post-trip insights and spreading Vranec awareness even further.

Curated by the Association “Wines of Macedonia”, this year’s celebration raised the bar for future Vranec World Day celebrations. Maintaining our tradition, we are excited to bring the 7^th edition in 2025 to the forefront of excellence.
